Comparison
Read two legal systems against each other
Because every portal follows the same fifteen-section outline, the comparison is genuinely like-for-like rather than a collage of whatever each government happens to publish.

| Division of powers | Under the suspended constitution, a semi-presidential system with a President, Prime Minister and National Assembly. Currently executive and legislative authority is concentrated in the CNSP and an appointed government. | Parliamentary government in which the cabinet is drawn from and answerable to the Folketing, with an independent unified judiciary. | Semi-presidential: a directly elected President appoints key security and foreign-policy figures while the Cabinet is formed by and answerable to the Verkhovna Rada. |
| How law is made | Legislation is currently made by order of the governing authority and published in the Journal Officiel. The suspended constitution provided for ordinary parliamentary passage and presidential promulgation. | Bills pass three readings in the Folketing and receive royal assent. A minority of members can require certain bills to be put to a referendum. | Bills pass first, second and sometimes third readings in the Verkhovna Rada, are signed by the President within fifteen days, and a veto is overridden by two-thirds of deputies. Laws take effect on publication unless stated otherwise. |
| Legal profession | Avocats admitted through the Barreau du Niger after a law degree and traineeship; notaires and huissiers are separate offices. | A single advokat profession admitted after a law degree, practical training and a bar course; judges are appointed from experienced lawyers. | Advocates are admitted by the Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA) after qualification examination and traineeship; representation before the courts is reserved to advocates in most categories of case. |
A comparison table flattens nuance by design. Where a difference matters to a decision you are making, open both portals and read the section in full — the constitutional detail behind a one-line summary is often the part that governs the outcome.
