Guyana's intermediate appellate court, headed by the Chancellor of the Judiciary. It hears civil and criminal appeals from the High Court, and since 2005 its decisions are appealable to the Caribbean Court of Justice rather than to the Privy Council in London — Guyana was among the first states to complete that transfer.
