iTaukei Land Trust Board
Administers all iTaukei (native) land on behalf of landowning units.
What this authority does
Established by the iTaukei Land Trust Act, the Board is the sole lawful lessor of the roughly 87% of Fiji's land held as inalienable iTaukei land. No lease, licence or development on that land is valid without its consent, and it distributes lease income to the owning mataqali. Any land transaction in Fiji begins with establishing which tenure applies.
