The Judiciary of Seychelles
Administers the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and subordinate courts.
What this authority does
Seychelles applies a hybrid of the French Civil Code and English common law, with a Constitutional Court sitting as a division of the Supreme Court under the 1993 Constitution. Unlike Mauritius, Seychelles abolished Privy Council appeals on becoming a republic in 1976.
