Administrative Court

Tribunal de lo Contencioso Administrativo

Reviewed· 2026-08-02Montevideo

A constitutionally separate court, not part of the judiciary, with exclusive jurisdiction to annul final administrative acts for illegality. Because annulment lies only here while damages must be claimed in the ordinary courts, a claimant with both objectives must litigate in two separate forums.
