Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs

Administers the Roman-Dutch courts and liaises with the Swazi National Courts.

What this authority does

Eswatini runs a genuinely dual system: Roman-Dutch courts headed by the Supreme Court, and a parallel Swazi National Court structure applying Swazi law and custom under the authority of the King as iNgwenyama. The 2005 Constitution preserves both, and political parties remain barred from contesting elections.

Services for the public

  • Court administration
  • Swazi National Court liaison
  • Legal aid
  • Deeds registry
