- Constitutional — Constitutional Court
- Six judges; two each from Parliament, Government and the Superior Council of Magistracy.
- Supreme — Supreme Court of Justice
- Reorganised and reduced in size by the 2022–2023 reform.
- Appellate — Courts of appeal
- Consolidated into fewer appellate districts.
- First instance — District courts (judecătorii)
- Rationalised under the court-map optimisation programme.
- Specialised — Anti-Corruption Court
- Established by the 2024 reform for high-level corruption cases.
