- Appellate — Court of Appeal
- Created in 2018 to hear appeals from the High Court.
- First instance — High Court and intermediate courts
- General jurisdiction; specialised commercial courts in Kigali.
- Specialised — Commercial High Court
- Commercial disputes with expedited procedure.
- Regional — East African Court of Justice (Arusha)
- EAC Treaty jurisdiction.
