The three branches
- Head of State — President of the Republic

- Single chamber of 250 deputies.
- Judicial — Courts of general and special jurisdiction plus the Constitutional Court
- Overseen by the High Judicial Council.
How legislation is made
Laws are adopted by the National Assembly and promulgated by the President; the Constitutional Court may review their constitutionality.
