The hierarchy, top to bottom
- Constitutional — Corte Constitucional
- Nine magistrates; abstract review and revision of tutela decisions.
- Supreme — Corte Suprema de Justicia
- Cassation in civil, criminal and labour matters.
- Supreme administrative — Consejo de Estado
- Highest administrative court; also annuls national decrees.
- Specialised — Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz
- Transitional tribunal created by the 2016 peace accord.
