The hierarchy, top to bottom
- Constitutional — Supreme Constitutional Court
- Created by the 2022 reform; constitutional and final administrative jurisdiction.
- Final appellate — Supreme Court
- Apex for civil and criminal appeals following the same reform.
- Appellate — Court of Appeal
- New intermediate appellate tier operating from 2023.
- First instance — District Courts and Assize Courts
- Assize Courts try the most serious criminal cases.
- Specialist — Administrative Court, Family Courts, Rent Control and Industrial Disputes Courts
- Including an Administrative Court for International Protection.
