The three branches
- Head of State — President of Montenegro

- Single chamber of 81 members.
- Judicial — Ordinary courts plus the Constitutional Court
- Overseen by the Judicial Council.
How legislation is made
Laws are adopted by the Parliament and promulgated by the President; the Constitutional Court may assess their constitutionality.
