The three branches

Executive — President and Prime Minister
Five-year term, renewable once.
Legislative — Assembly of the Republic
Unicameral, 250 members.
Judicial — Supreme Court, Constitutional Council, Administrative Court

Elected provincial governors since the 2018 revision.

How legislation is made

Bills are debated and voted by the Assembly of the Republic, then promulgated by the President, who may request constitutional review by the Constitutional Council before promulgation.
