Constitution of Ukraine
Adopted in June 1996 and amended repeatedly, notably in 2004, 2014, 2016 on the judiciary and 2019 to write the EU and NATO course into the preamble. Under Article 157 the Constitution cannot be amended while martial law or a state of emergency is in force.

Separation of powers
Semi-presidential: a directly elected President appoints key security and foreign-policy figures while the Cabinet is formed by and answerable to the Verkhovna Rada.
