The hierarchy, top to bottom
- Constitutional — Constitutional Court
- Twelve judges; six appointed by the President, six elected by the Council of the Republic.
- Supreme — Supreme Court
- Apex court; absorbed the Supreme Economic Court in 2014.
- Appellate — Regional courts and the Minsk City Court
- Appellate and some first-instance jurisdiction.
- First instance — District and city courts
- General jurisdiction over civil, criminal and administrative cases.
- Specialised — Economic courts of the regions
- Commercial disputes within the unified court system.
